WebGL App – fMRI Semantic Space

WebGL App - fMRI Semantic Space 1

The fMRI Semantic Space WebGL App was created by scientists from UC Berkeley. Researchers hooked participants into an fMRI machine and recorded brain activity based on subject based motion pictures. In this way a ‘semantic map’ could be organized which would visually correlate to a 3D map of brain activity. Fascinating stuff, with lots of potential uses for the treatment of psychological illnesses using biofeedback for cognitive therapy.
